Twitter Account "Bleep My Dad Says" becomes a television series!
HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA (WIREUPDATE.COM) — CBS Corporation (CBS) has officially picked up "Bleep My Dad Says" for the fall season. "Bleep My Dad Says" is based on the twitter account "Sh*t My Dad Says" in which the owner would post funny antidotes and quotes his father said.
The series will star William Shatner as the role of the father. "I’m on CBS this fall. I just heard so I’m passing it on to you!" said Shatner on his own twitter feed.
Justin Halpern, the author of the Twitter feed co-wrote the pilot episode. Halpern is a 29-year-old who felt his fathers sayings deserved their own twitter account. The feed now has over 1.3 million followers.
Among some of his latest tweets are:
"I don’t want your advice, you’re 27 f*cking years old…Fine. I don’t want your advice, you’re 29 f*cking years old."
“You seen my cell phone?…What’s it look like? Like two horses f*cking. It’s a phone, son. It looks like a phone."
