NASA and MEI Technologies reach $99 million engineering contract
WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) — NASA on Friday announced that it has awarded a sole-source interim contract for electrical systems engineering services to MEI Technologies in Houston, Texas.
This interim contract will ensure program continuity and critical mission support. It is a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, which will cover both existing and new requirements with a maximum ordering value of $99 million in an ordering period of 18 months.
MEI Technologies will provide electrical engineering support services for the study, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification and operations of hardware and software for space, air and ground systems.
This will include development and validation of new technologies to enable future missions in support of the Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Task orders issued under this contract will provide critical support to a wide range of NASA missions and projects, including the James Webb Space Telescope; Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites; the Landsat Data Continuity Mission; Magnetospheric Multi-Scale Satellites; Global Precipitation Measurement; and others.
