U.S. Senator John McCain recieves endorsement of National Border Patrol Council in Arizona
PHOENIX, ARIZONA (BNO NEWS) – U.S. Senator John McCain’s re-election campaign on Thursday received a boost from the National Border Patrol Council, who endorsed the Senator for re-election, Senator McCain’s office announced.
“On behalf of nearly 3,000 rank and file men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol in the Tucson Sector, I am proud to endorse Senator John McCain for re-election,” Bradon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council’s Local 2544, said. “Senator McCain is committed to securing our borders and making sure we have the resources we need to get the job done.” He continued, saying that the choice is clear in November as the Senator has proven his “commitment to restoring the rule of law to our border”.
He criticized Senator McCain’s Democratic opponent, Rodney Glassman, who has voiced his opposition to Arizona’s immigration law, SB 1070, which has garnered significant controversy. “Our state needs a senator who understands that with the right tools and policies, we can secure our border and give Arizonans the safety and security they deserve. That Senator is John McCain.”
Senator McCain said he was proud to have the support of the National Border Patrol Council, saying that their members sacrifice a lot to provide safety and security to the people of Arizona. “I look forward to continuing our work together to secure our border and keep Arizonans safe,” the Senator said.
