JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI (BNO NEWS) – A man of Biloxi, Mississippi was arrested and charged with one count of possession of child pornography, prosecutors announced on Wednesday.
Sean Edward Dietz, 22, was arrested for downloading from the internet child porn images. The arrest was made after an investigation of the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes against Children task force.
Dietz’s bond was set at $25,000 at the Harrison County Jail. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI (BNO NEWS) — A Fayette, Mississippi woman was arrested and charged on one count of felonious Medicaid Fraud, prosecutors announced on Thursday.
Kristina Stampley, 28, turned herself into investigators with the Medicaid Fraud Unit of the Attorney General’s Office. The indictment alleges that, while working as a case manager at Southwest Mississippi Mental Health, Stampley submitted approximately 229 claims for services that were billed to Medicaid, but for which services couldn’t be verified.
Southwest Mississippi Mental Health has cooperated with the investigation and has already repaid Medicaid more than $15,000 for the fraudulent claims.
If convicted, Stampley faces a maximum sentence of five years and $50,000 fine.
This case is the result of an investigation by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Attorney General’s Office.

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI (BNO NEWS) – A Mississippi resident was arrested and charged for possession of child pornography, Sheriff Malcolm McMillin said Wednesday.
Cameron Travelstead, age 20, of Hinds County, Mississippi was detained by the Sex Crimes Unit of the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office and investigators with the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Division after his computer was traced for downloading child pornography.
He is currently held in the Hinds County jail as he waits for a bond hearing to be scheduled.
“Let this serve as a warning to all those in Hinds County downloading child porn that we are indeed coming after you,” said Sheriff McMillin.
“Technology has revealed to us thousands of people in this state who are downloading child porn,” said Attorney General Jim Hood. “This task force is our key to arresting each and every one of them.”
Travelstead may serve up to 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections for each of the two counts he faces, having a potential minimum of 80 years in prison.

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI (BNO NEWS) – On Tuesday, a Jackson caregiver was arrested on charges of identity theft and exploitation against a vulnerable adult under her care, prosecutors said.
Stephanie Fields, 34, was indicted with a total of nine counts related to identity theft and exploitation against a vulnerable adult.
She allegedly used the identity of an elderly woman she was looking after. Fields is also accused of obtaining credit cards and a credit to purchase goods while using the 90 year old victim’s name and Social Security number.
“In all, she is charged with running up charges in excess of $6,700, and attempting to charge an additional $2,000,” U.S. Attorney Jim Hood said.
