(UNWS) — Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck told his radio audience on Friday that he will be taking a leave of absence next week to deal with medical issues surrounding an unknown ailment.

Within the past year Beck has told his audience about possibly losing his eye sight and most recently losing feeling in his feet and hands.

“They are going under every rock. There is a physical reason. But I believe that physical, mental, and spiritual are all tied. You can’t injure the soul of someone and not have physical wounds appear eventually. It’s just something I believe in, now you may not believe in that, but I do. A lot of physical things, a lot of mental things are from spiritual wounds and vice versa.”

“I wanted you to know now, so that you will understand my mindset of why I’m looking to Gandhi for a single answer.”

“And I would ask for your prayers. I wouldn’t ask for your prayers on healing. I would ask for your prayers on clarity. I would ask for your prayers, I don’t think I have heard anyone say this out loud.  I would ask for your prayers for a desire to continue to stand. I will just like to want to.”

“Things are changing and there is no bad news here because what I’m feeling in myself and what is happening to my physical body to some extent and what is happening to me mentally is not a depression or death, it is a transformation. it is a transcendence. It is reaching from the slime and pulling yourself out.”

“So it is not bad news. It is just a transition period that will leave us in the end still meeting everyday. It will leave us in the end still standing for what we want. It will leave us in the end still speaking out and teaching others. It will leave us in the end still questioning with boldness even the existence the very existence of God.”

But, it will leave us in the end bearers of light.”
