U.S. House Democrat Brad Ellsworth to support his party’s health care plan
WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) – Democratic U.S. House Representative Brad Ellsworth on Friday announced that he will support the current revision of his party’s health care reform plan when it comes to a vote on Sunday.
Representative Ellsworth is a part of the Blue Dog Coalition, a group of conservative Democrats that have been hesitant to support the health care reform bill presented by the rest of their party. He is one of sixteen Democrats who voted against providing federal funding for embryonic stem cell research.
On February 19, he announced his candidacy to the 2010 U.S. Senate Election for the Indiana seat currently held by Democrat Evan Bayh.
