Tobi Oyedeji, Texas A&M basketball signee dies after car accident
HOUSTON, TEXAS (BNO NEWS) — Texas A&M basketball signee, Tobi Oyedeji, died on Sunday from injuries sustained in a car crash, local media reported.
Tobi Oyedeji was an outstanding student and basketball talent at Bellaire, Texas; he had signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Texas A&M beginning in the fall, according to KTRK-TV.
Coach Mark Turgeon tweeted on Sunday morning “please pray for Tobi Oyedeji… He was in a car accident last night and is battling some significant injuries. He needs our prayers.”
Oyedeji had helped lead Bellaire to the regional final this past season. He played in the high school academic all-America game earlier in the month and was named player of the game.
