Former major league pitcher Jose Lima dead after cardiac arrest
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA (BNO NEWS) — Former major league pitcher Jose Lima died at a Pasadena, California hospital on early Sunday, authorities said. He was 37.
Lima was found in full cardiac arrest at his home in Pasadena shortly before 6 a.m. local time. “He was found to be in full cardiac arrest,” a police official said.
The official said Lima was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6.52 a.m. “The cause of death is unknown and an autopsy is pending,” he added.
The All-Star right-hander spent 13 years in the major leagues with Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, and several other teams.
