U.S. soldier killed in Iraq

JOINT BASE BALAD, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) — A U.S. soldier was killed in Iraq on Monday, the U.S. Military said.
The military did not provide details on his death, except to say that he was conducting operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
His name will be released no earlier than 24 hours after notification of the service member’s primary next of kin.
