Alex to affect south Texas and Mexico flights

By

HOUSTON, TEXAS (BNO NEWS) — Storm conditions are expected to make air travel difficult in south Texas and certain areas of Mexico, forcing some delays and cancellations of flights at airports in the region, Continental Airlines said on Tuesday.

Tropical storm Alex will approach the coast of northeastern Mexico and southern Texas on Wednesday and make landfall Wednesday night, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.

Continental said to avoid inconvenience, travelers may wish to delay commencement of their trip.

Customers scheduled on flights to, from or through affected airports through July 5 are permitted a one-time date or time change to their itinerary without penalty providing rescheduled travel originates by July 19.

If a flight has been canceled, a refund in the original form of payment can be requested, the airline added.
