Seven hurt after shooting at Washington, D.C. metro station

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) — At least seven people were injured on late Friday evening after a shooting at L’Enfant Plaza metro station in Washington, D.C., authorities said.

The shooting happened around 11.15 p.m. EDT at L’Enfant Plaza metro station in the Southwest Federal Center neighborhood of Washington, D.C..

A spokesperson for the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services said seven people had been injured in the shooting, but said the situation was under control. Several people, including some of the injured, were taken into custody.

Further details were not immediately available.
