BAGHDAD, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) – Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) arrested on Tuesday one alleged al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) member and an associate in northern Iraq.

The operation was conducted by ISF and U.S. advisors in Mosul. The joint forces searched several buildings looking for the AQI member who was accused of the facilitation of improvised explosive devices and explosive components in Mosul.

After gathering evidence, the security forces were able to identify and arrest the wanted AQI member and also took into custody one alleged AQI criminal associate.
