DUBAI (BNO NEWS) — An American cargo plane went down on a highway in Dubai on Friday, local media reported, killing at least several people.

Al Arabiya Television reported that the cargo plane went down on the Emirates highway in Dubai, not far from Dubai International Airport, but did not say what type of aircraft was involved.

The Arabic-language television station reported that all crew on board the aircraft were killed in the crash, which set at least several vehicles on fire. It did not say how many people were on board, or if there were any casualties on the ground.

Al Arabiya cited a source as saying that the aircraft, which was registered to an American company, caught fire shortly before it crashed on the highway.

Further details were not immediately known.
