Hezbollah leader praises Hamas after shooting attacks in the West Bank
BEIRUT, LEBANON (BNO NEWS) – Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Friday praised Hamas for the two shooting attacks in the West Bank at the same time that he criticized the Israel-Palestine peace talks.
Nasrallah said that the shooting attacks are “the way to free Jerusalem and Palestine.” The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, took responsibility for both attacks and said that there will be more to come.
This week, four Israelis were killed and two more injured following two consecutive attacks in the West Bank. The deadly events took place just as U.S.-sponsored direct peace talks between Israel and Palestine were launched.
Nasrallah heavily criticized the Palestinian Authority for agreeing to engage in direct peace negotiations under the watch of the U.S. government.
“These negotiations were born to die,” the Hezbollah leader said at a rally. “Palestine from the sea to the river is the property of the Palestinian nation, of the Arab and the Muslim, and no one has the right to relinquish that land, not even a drop of its water.”
Nasrallah also called on Hamas and other opposition forces to support the Arab and Islamic world. He also praised the steadfast position of resistance forces in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq, along with Syria and Iran.
