Britney Spears denies sexual harassment and child abuse accusations by former security guard
LOS ANGELES (BNO NEWS) – Pop-icon Britney Spears on Thursday denied accusations of sexual harassment and child abuse by a former security guard who filed charges against her on Wednesday, a statement said.
Fernando Flores, who was a former body guard for Spears, charges the singer with making repeated unwanted sexual advances to him, often summoning Flores to her room at her residence for no other reason but to expose her nude or nearly nude body to him.
In the second week of his employment with Spears, Flores was working a nightshift at Spears’ residence when he was asked by Spears to help her work a camera. In doing so, Spears allegedly displayed her breast to him and made no effort to cover it. Flores said he was disturbed by her alleged behavior and excused himself immediately.
In another night shift, Spears allegedly called Flores into the residence to turn on the fire place in her bedroom. When he entered her room, she was wearing only a white lace, see-through dress. She allegedly walked close by Flores and intentionally dropped her cigarette lighter on the floor, bent over to pick it up, and exposed her genitals to him. The incident supposedly caused Flores shock and disgust.
After a number of incidents similar to these, Flores reported the incident to his employers, but was dismissed after being told “You know you liked it.” Flores’ lawyer, however, said that his client did not react to the sexual advances in any way other than to retreat from Spears’ presence. In addition to exposing herself to him, Spears allegedly had sex while in front of Flores on a number of occasions.
In addition to his duties as a security guard at the Spears residence, Flores also provided the needs of her two small children. He supervised their play and often played with them. Flores’ relationship with the two children was so close that he was apparently told by the children, at one point, that they loved him.
But in a shocking allegation, Flores accused Spears of having loud sexual intercourse while her two children were in the suite with her. And those were not the only allegations involving child abuse.
In another alleged incident, Spears used Flores’ belt to beat Sean Preston, her eldest child, twice “savagely”, causing duress and disturbing Flores. Additionally, during a stay at a hotel, Spears and the children’s nanny both knew of the life-threatening seafood allergies that her two small sons had. Spears allegedly recklessly fed her two sons crabmeat, and when both of the boys started to vomit, Spears forbid Flores and the nanny from seeking medical care for the children. On another occasion, Flores urged Spears not to feed her children food of which they were allergic to but she retorted that he should “Mind your own f-ing business!”
On a number of occasions, Spears, while in the presence of Flores, would allegedly proclaim to her sons that “Mommy is white trash!” Her boys would ask Flores what that meant, but he would refuse to tell them as he was deeply troubled by the incident.
But a statement issued on Thursday by a representative for Britney Spears denied the charges. “This lawsuit is another unfortunate situation where someone is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself,” the statement read. “The Department of Children and Family Services conducted a proper investigation surrounding Mr. Flores’ accusations and have closed the case without any further action. Ms. Spears and her attorneys have every expectation that this matter will be dismissed by the courts.”
Flores seeks restitution for the events that he witnessed and claims that Spears’ acts were willful, malicious, and despicable.
