BAGHDAD (BNO NEWS) — A U.S. soldier was killed in Baghdad on Thursday, the U.S. military said.
The soldier, attached to the United States Division – Center, was killed during combat operations. The military did not provide further details on his death.
The U.S. Department of Defense will release the identity of the soldier after notification of next of kin.
CONTINGENCY OPERATING BASE SPEICHER, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) – A United States soldier died of injuries he suffered in a vehicle roll-over on March 15, U.S. Forces in Iraq said Tuesday.
The unnamed soldier was active in the United States Division – North, and was conducting a patrol in northern Iraq when the incident occurred. Three other soldiers were taken to a military medical facility to be treated after being injured in the same accident.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense as the incident continues to be investigated.
BAGHDAD (BNO NEWS) — Two American soldiers died in a vehicle accident in Iraq on Monday, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.
The military said the soldiers died of non-combat related injuries, and said two other soldiers were injured in the same accident. “The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense,” it said.
The U.S. military said the accident is currently under investigation. No other details were immediately available.
KABUL (BNO NEWS) — A U.S. soldier in Afghanistan died as a result of non-battle related injuries on Wednesday, NATO said.
A statement from the NATO-led ISAF alliance said the soldier was from the United States and died of his injuries in eastern Afghanistan. No other details were immediately released.
The casualty bring the number of U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan this year to 19.
The identity of the soldier will be announced by the U.S. Department of Defense not earlier than Thursday.
KABUL (BNO NEWS) — A U.S. service member in Afghanistan died of apparent natural causes on Sunday, NATO said.
A statement from the NATO-led ISAF alliance said the soldier was from the United States and passed away in Kabul, but provided no further details.
The death brings the number of U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan this year to 16.
The identity of the soldier will be announced by the U.S. Department of Defense no earlier than Monday.
