MEXICO CITY (BNO NEWS) — The U.N. Security Council will meet on Monday to discuss the international aid operation for Haiti in wake of Tuesday’s devastating earthquake, leaving tens of thousands of people dead.
The meeting was requested by Mexican President Felipe Calderon who wants the Council to take a more active role in the rescue and recovery operation as it is responsible to maintain international peace and security.
