PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) — Tiger Woods will make a public statement and “apologize for his behavior” during a televised event on Friday morning. It will be his first – live – public statement since his car accident last year, which was followed by a series of revelations about alleged affairs.

The event will take place at 11 a.m. EST at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. “Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he plans to apologize for his behavior,” agent Mark Steinberg said in an e-mailed statement to BNO News.

“While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between he and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him,” Steinberg said. “He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends and that’s what he’s going to discuss.”

Tiger Woods will make the remarks to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates. Steinberg said it will not be a news conference, and there will be no question and answer session.

Most members of the media will not be able to follow Woods’ remarks in person, but from a room nearby instead. However, Steinberg said they are expecting to allow a small pool of reporters to cover the remarks in person.

A live video feed of the remarks will be made available to the media as well.

LOS ANGELES (BNO NEWS) — Former porn star Veronica Siwik-Daniels, better known as Joslyn James, on Thursday said she wants Tiger Woods to publicly acknowledge their relationship in his planned apology on Friday, her lawyer said.

“Upon hearing of Mr. Woods’ planned “apology” tomorrow, Ms. Allred stated that Mr. Woods should mention Veronica by name and acknowledge their relationship in his planned “apology” and that he should call her and speak to her to confirm that his apology to her is sincere,” said Gloria Allred, Siwik-Daniels’ attorney.

Allred said Tiger Woods texted Siwik-Daniels on at least two occasions in late 2009. “Baby I’m not going anywhere or doing anything. You please me like no other has or ever will. I am not losing that,” Woods allegedly wrote in a text message on October 1, 2009. In a second text message, sent on September 9, 2009, Woods allegedly wrote: “Great thing we have a lifetime of this.”

Siwik-Daniels, who claims she and Woods had a 3-year-long intimate romantic relationship, will hold a news conference in Los Angeles after Woods’ statement.
